Associate Professor Glynis Ross

Associate Professor Glynis Ross is a consultant endocrinologist at The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she is Lead Endocrinologist in the Diabetes and Pregnancy Service. She provides outreach diabetes services to the Central West. Her main clinical interests cover diabetes (including type 1 diabetes, insulin pump therapy and diabetes in pregnancy) and thyroid disease. Dr Ross strives to provide optimal compassionate care and support to all her patients. She has a longstanding passion for advocacy for people with diabetes and for improving the related health services and supports through Diabetes Australia, the Australian Diabetes Society (ADS), the Australasian Diabetes in Pregnancy Society and the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation. She has been involved for years in diabetes health professional education and is Chair of the ADS Diabetes Education Committee.

Professor Stephen M. Twigg, MBBS(Hons-I), PhD, FRACP, is a physician-scientist translational researcher, Kellion Professor of Endocrinology and Stan Clark Chair in Diabetes, in the Sydney Medical School, and Charles Perkins Centre, the University of Sydney; plus Head of Dept of Endocrinology and Medical Head of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Research Laboratories, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney. Professor Stephen Twigg provides a comprehensive service in adult endocrinology, in a well established professional practice. As a Professor of Endocrinology he treats a variety of endocrinology conditions in this private practice setting.

Dr Linda Beeney enjoys working in the field of chronic medical illness as a clinician-researcher specialising in diabetes. Linda completed her PhD in Medicine (Endocrinology) at The University of Sydney as an NHMRC Scholar, was awarded an NHMRC Public Health Travelling Fellowship and completed her Post-doctoral Fellowship at Harvard Medical School spending time primarily at the Joslin Diabetes Center. In her psychology private practice Linda specialises in helping individuals & their families manage the psychological complications of living with type 1 and type 2 diabetes and other medical conditions including cancer, heart & lung disease, CF and organ transplantation. Linda is Principal Investigator of the ReMinD Program (Researching Media and Communication in Diabetes), currently focused on experimental studies of diabetes language, analysis of media messages about diabetes and complications risk message framing. She also runs Medical Psychology Services, a consultancy specializing in medical illness research and industry collaboration.

Referrals are a Medicare requirement. Proof of COVID19 vaccination status should be available for face-to-face appointments and masks worn as per Ministry of Health guidelines.
